What is THCa Flower?
THCa is one of the first cannabinoids to develop in the cannabis plant. As the flower matures, THCa heats up and decarboxylates it, converting it into tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Unlike many other cannabinoids, THCa does not create any psychoactive effect in its raw form. So, eating the flower produces no euphoria. THCa must be heated – usually by smoking, dabbing, or vaping – to produce that iconic feeling.
Is THCa Flower Legal?
According to the 2018 Farm Bill any cannabis flower that contains less than 0.3% Delta 9 by dry weight is considered hemp. Some states have passed laws that restrict or ban the sale of THCa products. Make sure to check on your local laws and regulations before making any purchases.
What is the Difference Between THC and THCa?
There is only a minor difference between THC and THCa, on a molecular level. THCa contains an additional carboxyl ring which prevents it from binding with receptors in the brain until heat is applied. Heating up THCa flower decarboxylates it, converting it into THC and allowing the cannabinoid to bind to the brain’s receptors. Until then, THCa flower does not produce any kind of psychoactive effect.
What are your shipping times?
All orders placed before 3 PM Monday to Friday will be shipped the same day. Orders placed after 3 PM or on Saturday or Sundays will be shipped the following business day.
What are THCA smalls?
If you see THCA flower referred to as “THCA smalls,” the name is in reference to the grade of the flower, with “smalls” meaning the flower is composed of small buds, also known as “popcorn.” In general, smalls are around 3-5% less potent than top colas, but that isn’t an issue for most users.
Will THCA cause a positive drug test?
Yes, using THCA will result in a positive drug test for THCA for two reasons: Drug tests don’t differentiate between THC and THCA; and Most methods of using THCA convert the cannabinoid into THC anyway. So, using THCA should be avoided if you have a drug test coming up soon.
What is the strongest THCA flower?
The strongest THCA flower on the market contains around 30% of this intoxicating cannabinoid. Strains that contain 30% of THCA are few and far between, however. Thankfully, there is no major difference between the effects of a strain that contains 25% THCA and a strain that contains 30% of this cannabinoid.
How can I track my order?
Once your order ships, you'll receive a tracking number via email. You can use this number on our website's tracking page or the carrier's website to monitor your shipment.
